❦Dancer’s Hands❦

“There are secrets locked inside my body that you’d know…if you’d been there.” ~Kara

Traveling back in time

To a place I have no right to be

(…to memories I’ve no right to have)

To places I’ve no right to visit.

I wish I could’ve danced with you

In those studios

And on those stages

Where you brought

So much magic and beauty.

To be known by your touch

Would’ve meant so much more

Than every portrait I’ve ever sat for.

To be felt and understood

By every tip of every finger

Of both of your hands

Would’ve meant so much more

Than any painting

Of every inch of me.

If only it were your hands

That taught me how to dance

That taught me how to love…

Then, I might’ve understood. ♥

      1. You are welcome, kara. And you are a special poetess, dear.

Ps : I apologize, though, since i didn’t ask for your permission, cause i’ve noticed you don’t have sharing buttons. I used the wordpress’ backend options.

      2. No worries. I trust you. 🙂

I wish none of those buttons existed, honestly. I’m not into the whole inflating my numbers thing and the only real purpose the like button serves is to get my readers’ avatars onto my site so others can find them. I hope you’ve been well, my beautiful friend.

I saw your wonderfully kind tribute to your friend Steve. I hope he and Ilona are okay. I’ve experienced some of the unsavory element of online behavior myself, so I sympathize with both of them. They’ve always been such a sweet pair. I hope she comes back.

  1. Such an intriguing finale last few lines Kara, my imagination gently ebbing…
“If only it were your hands
That taught me how to dance
That taught me how to love…
    Then, I might’ve understood. “♥

  2. Thank you for a glimpse into your world. It allowed me to realize my world, different on the outside, is not so far removed from yours.
